The New England Aquarium (NEAq) is a fun place for the whole family to visit. There will always be something there to keep everyone from kids to elders entertained. If you don’t like to go to the aquarium; there is the Simons IMAX Theatre and whale watch which both provide a great adventure also. The New England Aquarium is located at 1 Central Wharf, Boston, MA. It is one of my favorite places to visit in the summertime. The general adult ticket admission costs $21.95. This might sound a little pricey for some people but the aquarium offers a lot of discounts. College students could save a few bucks by showing a valid college I.D. The NEAq offers lots of animals waiting for you to explore. Penguin, seal, turtle, shark, jellyfish, lobster…. Whatever underwater animal you could think of, there will be a great possibility that they will have it. My all time favorite animal to watch in the aquarium are the penguins. The way how they waddle their feet will definitely bring a smile to your face.
I recommend visitors to take the public transportation to not waste money and time on parking. Be sure to bring a camera to take pictures of all the cute animals and the nearby scenery. Also some quarters and pennies to make some elongated souvenir coins. Every time I went to the aquarium I would get a few of them. It only cost 51 cents to make each elongated penny, plus in the end you will get the penny back. It is a good souvenir to get at the aquarium if you don’t want to spend too much money at getting souvenirs in the aquarium gift shop.
After visiting the aquarium, there are many nearby shopping destinations that you don’t want to miss. Faneuil Hall Marketplace, Prudential Center, Copley Place, Newbury Street…… So be sure to check The New England Aquarium out with your family and friends.
