24th Annual Christmas Festival In Boston

Do you have a hard time thinking what presents to buy for your family & friends for Christmas? If yes, go visit the 24th Annual Christmas Festival which is now taking place on the Seaport World Trade Center, Boston from November 5, 6 & 7. The hours are as follows: Friday- noon-7 pm, Saturday -10am-7pm & Sunday- 10am-5pm. Prices for adult tickets are $12; you could get a $2 discount coupon online. Best of all, kids can enter for free. Over 300 craftsmen work will be featured so you probably will have a hard time choosing what to buy. If you want to buy something and do charity at the same time: buy a gingerbread house. Famous regional chefs make the gingerbread houses to compete in the 17th Annual Gingerbread House Competition. Once the houses are made it is available to be auction off online. 100% of the proceeds will be going to Share Our Strength, a nonprofit organization that are devoted to end childhood hunger in America. Shopping for A Cause: Charles Street Soiree to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Featured Designer: Sara Campbell
When: Monday, November 8th, 2010
Time: 5:00-8:00 pm

What better way to curtail the guilt one feels when indulging in a shopping spree, and on a Monday nevertheless, than to participate in some guilt free shopping for a much worthy cause.  While no one understands the perils of being broke better than us college kids here at All Access Boston, why not forget about the misery that is our economy for a moment and reward yourself with some retail therapy while donating to a great local foundation?! Local designer (we’ll excuse the fact that she originally hails from The Golden State and award her the honor of being labeled a naturalized Bostonian, given she’s a Lesley College alum, and has been here for quite some time now...) Sara Campbell of Sara Campbell LTD will be hosting a must-attend benefit honoring St. Jude Children's Research Hospital on Monday, November 8th, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at her Charles St. boutique.  You and your closest friends can enjoy an evening of sipping on stylish cocktails, while browsing Miss Campbell's latest threads and making some possible additions to your already, I'm sure, fabulous closet. A generous 15% of the proceeds from the evening will be donated to St. Jude and as a token of her appreciation for your good deeds, shoppers will receive an additional discount on top of her already marked down fall items! Grab your friends [and your wallet] and pencil this soiree into your social calendar ASAP! Maybe the credit card company won’t actually bill you for any purchases made that night since it’s for such a great cause....wishful thinking, I know.
